Are we not responsible?!

For the last couple of years, the majority of people have been taking advantage of nature and our environment, which has led to global warming and pollution. But last year, the entire world finally started to pay the price of the damage.

COVID-19, a deadly virus, has not only taken millions of lives but has also affected our health and many people have lost their jobs. This virus has affected the world economy in a lethal way.

Due to this tragedy, we have also learned environmental sustainability and the importance of essential workers. Not only have we learned self-discipline but also staying at home 24/7. Despite staying glued to the idiot box, we have also learned to balance our lives with T.V., studies, and physical activities. People who did not have enough time before the pandemic are now spending time with their families at home. The vehicles people used to travel in are relatively less due to the lockdown.

With the tragedy of COVID-19, we have learned to protect our environment and treasure our families. Are tragedies the only way for us humans to imbibe the stark lessons that the calamities teach us? Wouldn’t it be better to be more mindful of our surroundings and nurture the very planet on which we live?
